Animal research

Animal research is when scientists use animals like mice, rats, monkeys, and rabbits to figure out how different things work or to test medicines that might help people who are sick. Just like how doctors examine and give medicine to people who are ill, researchers study animals to figure out what makes them sick and how they can make them better.

However, there are laws in place to make sure the animals are treated well and not made to suffer too much. The scientists have to make sure that they have done everything they can to minimize the pain and discomfort that the animals might experience during experiments. Researchers also use the minimum number of animals required to get accurate results.

Overall, animal research is just one tool that scientists use to make new discoveries that could help improve the health of both animals and humans.
