Animals in Buddhism

Animals in Buddhism are seen as important and compassionate beings. Buddha taught that all living beings(including animals) should be treated with kindness and respect. Buddhist teachings emphasise that animals should not be harmed and should be protected from suffering. Buddhism encourages people to help animals whenever possible, such as by offering food and shelter. Buddhists also believe that we have been reborn in different animals over time, so they view animals as our spiritual relatives.
