Anthony Giddens

Anthony Giddens is a famous sociologist who studied how people interact with each other and how their ideas, beliefs and behaviours influence the world around them. He wanted to understand how society works and how people make it work. He studied how people create their own identities, how they choose their values and life paths, and how they build relationships. He argued that people are not just passive recipients of society, but that they shape it with their own thoughts and behaviours. Giddens wrote lots of books about his theories and ideas, which have helped us to better understand how society works and how people interact with one another.
