Anthropogenic biome

Hello there! Anthropogenic biome is a fancy way of saying "the different types of landscapes that humans have created". You know how your backyard looks different from a forest or a park? That's because humans have made changes to the land so we can live, work, and play there.

Now, scientists have classified these human-made landscapes into different types based on how we've changed them. For example, if we've built lots of houses, roads, and stores, that's called an urban biome. If we've cut down trees and planted crops, that's called a cropland biome. If we've fenced off land for cows and other animals, that's called a pasture biome.

And each of these biomes has its own specific characteristics, like the types of plants and animals that live there and how much pollution there is. So studying anthropogenic biomes can help scientists understand how humans are impacting the environment and how we can reduce our negative impact.
