Anti-competitive practices of Apple Inc.

Anti-competitive practices are when a company tries to prevent or limit competition from other companies. Apple Inc. has been accused of being anti-competitive because it has policies and takes other steps that make it harder for competing companies to be successful. For example, Apple sometimes uses its control of the App Store, which is where people buy and download apps for their Apple devices, to block competitors' apps or make their apps harder to find and use. Apple has also been accused of using its control over iTunes, which is where people buy and download music, to prevent competing services from gaining a foothold in the market. Because Apple controls so much of what people use on their devices, it has a lot of power to make life difficult for other companies.
