Anti-union violence is a type of violence that happens when someone or some group of people tries to stop workers from organizing themselves in unions or fighting for better working conditions and higher pay. It can include threats, harassment, physical violence and even murder. The violence usually comes from employers who don't want to give workers better pay or conditions, or from people they hire to stop unions from forming. In the United States, this type of violence was very common in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Unions fought hard against it, and the government eventually passed laws to protect workers' rights. The laws are still in effect today, but sadly, anti-union violence still exists in some places.
