Anticipatory grief

Okay kiddo, do you know what grief is? It's when we feel very sad and miss someone or something that we can't have or see anymore.

Now, anticipatory grief is when we feel sad and miss someone or something that we know we are going to lose soon. It's like when it's your last day of school and you know you won't see your classmates for a long time, or when the vacation is almost over and you will go back home soon.

When we know that something is going to end or go away, we can start feeling sad about it even before it actually happens. This is normal and it helps us prepare for the loss. It's like getting ready to say goodbye to someone or something we care about.

Sometimes, people experience anticipatory grief when they know that a loved one is very sick and may not recover. They start feeling sad and missing their loved one before they actually pass away. This can be very difficult to deal with, but it's a normal part of the grieving process.

Remember, it's okay to feel sad and miss someone or something that you know you are going to lose. And it's okay to talk about it and share your feelings with others. We all go through tough times, but we can support each other and come out stronger in the end.
