Anticipatory repudiation

Anticipatory repudiation is when someone says they're not going to do something they promised to do in the future. This means they're breaking their promise before they even had a chance to do it. It's like if you told your friend you would go to the park with them on Saturday, but then on Friday you tell them you're not going to go. This is not fair to your friend because they were counting on you to come. In the grown-up world, if someone does this in a business agreement, it can cause a lot of problems and can even lead to a lawsuit.
