Antisemitism is a type of prejudice that people have towards Jewish people. This can be very hurtful and mean and in Europe, it has a very long history. In Europe, people have been treated very badly because of their religion and other beliefs for hundreds of years. Jews were often made to live separately from other people in certain neighborhoods, they had their own schools and shops, and they were even not allowed to vote in some places. This unfair treatment of Jewish people caused a lot of hurt and anger and still affects many people today.
