Antisemitism in the Olympic Games
Okay kiddo, so the Olympic Games are a special event where athletes from all around the world come together to compete in sports. But sometimes, people have mean thoughts and feelings towards other people just because of their religion. This mean feeling towards Jewish people is called antisemitism.
Unfortunately, there have been times in the past when some people at the Olympic Games have been mean to Jewish athletes just because they are Jewish. This is not okay because everyone should be treated with kindness and respect, no matter what their religion is.
Luckily, the people who run the Olympic Games have been working hard to stop antisemitism and make sure that everyone feels safe and welcome at the games. They want the games to be a happy and fair competition for all.
