ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Antivaccination

Vaccines are like tiny soldiers that fight against bad germs that make us sick. They are little injections that help our bodies build up protection against these yucky germs.

Antivaccination means some people don’t want to get these little shots because they think they might be dangerous. But many, many studies have shown that vaccines are very safe and very helpful to us.

So just like we wear a helmet when we ride our bike or a seatbelt when we ride in a car to stay safe, vaccines help our bodies stay safe from getting really sick. It’s important to get these little shots to protect ourselves and our friends from getting sick too!
