Apocalypticism is the belief that the world will come to an end very soon. Apocalyptic stories usually involve natural disasters like floods and earthquakes, or the return of a powerful person who will cause terrible things to happen. People who believe in apocalypticism think that the world will end in a huge event, like an explosion, or something similar. It is important to note that this is just a belief, and not necessarily what will happen.
