Applicant Tracking System

An Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is like a magical robot that helps companies keep track of lots of people who want to work for them. Imagine that you want to be a superhero when you grow up, and you need to apply to a special school for superheroes. Lots of other kids want to go there too, and they all send their superhero applications to the school. But the school gets so many applications that they can't read them all at once - it would take too long! So instead, they use the ATS robot to help them out.

When you send in your superhero application, the ATS robot takes it and reads it for you. It looks for things like your name, email address, and phone number. Then it checks to see if you meet certain requirements, like having super strength or the ability to fly. If you do, the robot sends your application to the superhero school.

But what if there are lots of people who have the same superpowers as you? The robot needs to figure out who is the best fit for the school. So it looks at other things in your application, like your grades, your experience fighting villains, and any special training you've had. If you have lots of experience and really good grades, the robot might give you a higher score than someone who doesn't.

Once the robot has looked at all the applications, it sends the top ones to the school to look at more closely. Sometimes the school still has to read through all the applications, but the robot helps them narrow it down to the very best ones first. And that's how an ATS works - it's like a superhero helper that saves time and helps companies find the best people to join their team.
