Applied mechanics

Applied mechanics is the branch of science that studies how objects move, bend, and break when forces (like pushing and pulling) are applied to them. It helps us create things like bridges and machines that work correctly and safely. For example, engineers use applied mechanics to figure out how much force and tension a bridge can take before it breaks, so it's not at risk of collapsing.
