Apply

"Apply" means you are asking someone very nicely for something that you want, like a toy, a snack or a job. When you "apply" for something, it is like filling out a special form to show that you are really interested and you really want it.

For example, if you want a job in a toy shop, you can't just run in and say "I want this job!" You need to fill out an application form that tells the boss all about you, like your name, how old you are, and what you are good at. Then, the boss will take a look at all of the applications that people filled out and decide who would be the best fit for the job.

Applying can be a bit tricky sometimes, but it is an important skill to learn!
