Approach plate

Okay, so when planes need to land at an airport, they use something called an approach plate. It's kind of like a map that tells them where to go and what to do to get ready to land safely.

The approach plate has all sorts of information on it, like where the airport is and what direction the planes need to approach from. It also has pictures that show the different altitudes (heights) the plane needs to be at during each part of the landing process.

The pilots follow the approach plate very carefully, making sure to be at the right altitude and following the correct path to the runway so they can land safely.

So basically, an approach plate is like a special map that helps pilots land an airplane in the right way to make sure everyone stays safe.
