Apraxia of speech

Apraxia of speech is when someone has trouble speaking. It is not caused by being unable to understand language, but by the brain being unable to tell the body how to move the tongue and lips in order to make the right sounds. People with apraxia of speech may sound like they are stuttering, or their words may come out in strange ways, like saying "par" instead of "car". It can make it hard for people to understand them and it can be very frustrating for them.
