ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Arabic pledge

The Arabic pledge is a very special promise that people in certain Arab countries say in order to show their love and respect for their country and their leaders. It is kind of like when you promise your parents that you will always be a good boy or girl and do what you are told.

The pledge goes like this:

"I pledge allegiance to my country, (insert country name here), and to its flag, which is a symbol of our unity and strength. I promise to be faithful and obedient to our leaders and to defend our country and its people with courage and honor, no matter what challenges we may face. I am proud to be a citizen of (insert country name here) and I will work hard to make it a better place for all."

By saying this pledge, people are showing that they are proud of where they come from and are willing to do their part to make their country a better place. It is a way of coming together as a community and working towards a common goal of peace, harmony, and prosperity.
