Archenemy

You know how when you play a game with your friends, sometimes there's one friend who is really good at the game and beats everyone else? Well, imagine if that friend was actually a bad guy who wants to make sure nobody else can ever win.

That's kind of like an archenemy. It's a bad guy who is really powerful and tries to stop the good guys from succeeding. For example, in superhero stories, the archenemy is usually the main villain who is always trying to defeat the hero and take over the world.

The archenemy is usually super smart and has a lot of resources to help them be really strong and powerful. They might have an army of bad guys or use special weapons or have an evil plan that is hard to stop. The good guys have to work really hard and sometimes even risk their lives to try to stop the archenemy from winning.

It's like when you're playing tag and one of your friends is always "it" and keeps getting everyone else. If that friend was an archenemy, they might have some kind of superpower that makes them really fast, so nobody can tag them back. The other kids would have to keep trying different strategies to catch the archenemy and finally win the game!
