Argentine economic crisis (1999–2002)

The Argentine economic crisis happened from 1999 to 2002. During this time, Argentina couldn't pay its bills or borrow money. The government stopped printing money and the prices of everything, like food and clothes, got really expensive. People had to work long hours and still not have enough money to buy things. A lot of people lost their job and their homes. People also suffered from a lack of food and medicine. The economy was so bad, it affected other countries and businesses around the world.
