Argument from ignorance is a type of logical reasoning that some people use if they don't have enough information to prove or disprove something. Argument from ignorance happens when someone says that something is true or not true because nobody can show it is not true. This can be wrong because it's possible that nobody knows the answer yet, and just because nobody knows the answer doesn't mean it's not true. For example, if someone said that there are aliens living on the moon, it would be wrong to say it's not true just because nobody has seen them, because it's possible that they are there but no one has found them yet.
