The arms industry is the business of making things like guns and ammunition that people use to protect themselves and fight wars. Companies in the arms industry make weapons, research and develop ways to make them more effective, and sell them to governments and military groups around the world. By buying these weapons, countries and groups make sure they can protect themselves, or attack enemies in a war.
