Army of Africa (France)

Alright kiddo, imagine there was a big country called France that wanted to take control of some places in Africa a long time ago.

France decided to make an army to help them do this. This army was called the “Army of Africa”.

The Army of Africa was made up of French soldiers who were sent to Africa to fight and take control of different regions. They wore uniforms that were white and tan to blend in with the African desert.

Some of the soldiers rode horses or camels instead of driving cars or tanks because that's what worked best in the African terrain.

The Army of Africa had some really important people in charge, called generals. They would plan the attacks and give orders to the soldiers.

Eventually, France was able to take over a lot of Africa with the help of the Army of Africa. But as time went on, some people in Africa didn't like being controlled by France and there were many conflicts and fights both before and after Africa became independent.

Nowadays, France doesn't have the Army of Africa anymore and Africa is made up of many different countries that have their own armies.
