Art history

Art history is like reading a storybook about all the different types of art that have been created throughout history.

Just like how you might read a storybook about fairy tales or adventures, with art history you learn about all the different paintings, sculptures, and other types of art that people have made from long, long ago until now.

You also learn about the artists who made them and the reasons why they created them. Sometimes they made art to tell stories, sometimes to show off how good they are at painting, and sometimes just to express their feelings.

You'll see how people used to paint pictures on caves a long time ago, and how they started creating beautiful paintings by using different types of materials like oil paint or watercolors. You'll also learn about different types of art movements, which are times when artists all over the world started making art in similar styles, like impressionism or cubism.
