ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Articulated bus

An articulated bus is like a really long bus that can bend in the middle. Imagine your toy car that has two parts connected by a flexible hose. That's kind of how an articulated bus works. Instead of having just one long rigid body, like a regular bus, it has two parts that are attached together with a special joint in the middle. This makes it able to bend and turn more easily than a regular bus.

The front part of the bus is where the driver sits and the engine is located, like in a regular bus. Then there is a part in the middle that can bend in different directions. And finally, there's the back part of the bus where people sit or stand to ride.

Articulated buses are really useful in crowded cities because they can hold more people than regular buses, and they can maneuver through tight spaces more easily. They're also more comfortable for passengers because they're smoother and quieter to ride on. And they're good for the environment because they use cleaner fuel and create less pollution than older types of buses.

So, when you see an articulated bus on the street, remember that it's just like your toy car with two parts connected by a flexible hose. But it's a bigger version that's really helpful for getting lots of people around the city!
