Artificial island

An artificial island is an island made by people instead of nature. Artificial islands are made in many ways, like by piling rocks and sand on top of each other or by putting soil on top of a big platform. People make artificial islands because they want more land to build things on and live on. Some artificial islands are very big and even have shops, restaurants, and homes on them.
