Assassination of Sir Henry Gurney
Okay kiddo, so this is a story about a man named Sir Henry Gurney. He was a very important person who worked for the British government a long time ago in a place called Malaya which is now known as Malaysia.
One day, some bad guys called communists wanted to hurt Sir Henry because they didn't like the British government. They planned to kill him while he was driving in his car.
The communists put a lot of sharp metal things called spikes on the road to stop Sir Henry's car. When he got to the spikes, his driver had to stop the car and the bad guys started shooting at them with guns.
Unfortunately, Sir Henry was hurt very badly and he didn't survive. It was a very sad time for his friends and family and also for the people of Malaya.
But, the good news is that eventually, the British government and the Malayan people worked together to stop the communists from doing any more harm. They wanted peace and safety for everyone.
