ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Assuwa

Assuwa is a word that was used a long time ago, like when dinosaurs roamed the earth. It meant a group of people who came together to be friends and work together towards a common goal.

You know how you have your friends at school that you like to play with and maybe even work on a project with? Sometimes, grown-ups also need to have friends and work together for important things. They called it assuwa in the old days.

Assuwa was mostly used to talk about groups of people in ancient Turkey who wanted to work together to protect their lands from other groups who wanted to take over. It was kind of like being part of a big team, so everyone could be stronger and better when they worked together.
