Asteroid capture

Asteroid capture is when a spacecraft goes to an asteroid and puts pieces of it into orbit around the Earth. This helps us learn more about asteroids and how they move. It also helps us figure out how to get things from asteroids to use in the future—like maybe materials for space vehicles or for building things on Earth. So, the spacecraft takes a piece of the asteroid, and then brings it close to the Earth so that it can be studied by scientists.
