Asteroids in fiction

Asteroids in fiction are objects - usually rocks - that appear in stories and movies. They are often used as obstacles that characters may have to avoid or get around. In some stories, the asteroids may have strange qualities or even contain valuable resources. In some cases, characters may even have to battle on or around them.
