Asymmetric warfare groups are groups of people that fight a much bigger and more powerful enemy. These groups use different strategies than the bigger and more powerful enemy, like sneaky tricks and surprise attacks, in order to try and gain the upper hand. They usually don't have a lot of big guns, tanks, and aeroplanes, like the bigger enemy does. Instead, they use their smarts, the environment, and even the people around them. This is why asymmetric warfare groups are sometimes called “guerrillas” or “irregulars”, because they don't fight in the same way as the bigger army.
