Atlantic City Conference

The Atlantic City Conference was a meeting that happened a long time ago in the year 1929. A bunch of important people who were in charge of different parts of the United States got together to talk about how they could work together to make people who do bad things (like stealing or hurting others) stay away from places where people like to have fun and relax (like casinos). They wanted to make sure that people who went to these fun places felt safe and happy while they were there. They also talked about how they could stop people who were doing bad things and make them go to jail if they didn't stop. The people who went to this conference worked together to create new rules and ways of doing things so that everyone could be safe and happy when they went to places like Atlantic City to have a good time.
