Attack (computing)

An attack in computing is when a mean person or computer program tries to do bad things to your computer or the things your computer is connected to. It's like a robber trying to break into a house to steal things.

Sometimes these attackers want to steal important information like passwords or bank account numbers, or they want to cause chaos and break your computer or network so it doesn't work properly.

To protect yourself from these attacks, it's important to have strong passwords, keep your computer and software updated with security patches, and avoid clicking on suspicious links or downloading unknown files. Just like locking the doors to your house, you need to lock up your computer to keep the bad guys out.
