Auguste Comte

Auguste Comte was a French philosopher in the 1800s. He was one of the first people to study something called sociology, which is the study of how people in a society behave and interact with each other. He said that in order to understand how societies work, you have to look at both history and science. He also said that society should be organized in a way that improves people's lives, instead of trying to control them. Comte is still an important thinker, and his ideas about sociology are still studied today.
