Austria under Nazism

Okay, so you know how countries have leaders who make rules and decisions? Well, a long time ago in Austria, there was a group of people called Nazis who wanted to be in charge and make all the rules. They didn't like some people, especially Jewish people, and wanted to treat them very badly.

So, they made a man named Adolf Hitler the leader of Austria, and he started to make new rules that hurt people who weren't like him and his followers. The Nazis made Jewish people wear stars on their clothes so everyone could see who they were, and they wouldn't let them do certain jobs or go to school.

They also made people they didn't like go to special camps where they were treated horribly and sometimes even killed. The Nazis wanted everyone to follow their rules and believe what they did, and they used violence and force to make people listen.

Eventually, lots of other countries realized what was happening in Austria and started to fight back against the Nazis. They worked together to stop them and eventually, the Nazis were defeated and things started to get better in Austria.

It's a very sad and scary time in history, and it's important to remember what happened so that we can make sure it never happens again.
