Autarky

Autarky is a term for when something is self-sufficient and can do everything it needs to do by itself. For example, a family in the countryside might not rely on getting their food from the grocery store, but instead they could grow their own food and raise their own animals to feed their family. They would be able to be self-sufficient and not need to depend on anyone else for anything.
