Authorial intentionalism

Authorial intentionalism is all about understanding an artist's intended meaning from their work. It's like trying to understand what the artist wanted us to think or feel when we look at their work. For example, when an artist paints a picture, the colors and shapes they use and the emotions these colors and shapes evoke might have a special, intended meaning. Authorial intentionalism is the idea that we can figure out the artist's intention when looking at the work they created.
