Azerbaijani Americans

Okay kiddo, so there are many different people in the world who come from different countries and speak different languages. Azerbaijani Americans are people who were born in Azerbaijan or whose families came from Azerbaijan to live in the United States. Azerbaijan is a country that is located in Central Asia, it's bordered by Russia, Georgia, Armenia, Iran, and the Caspian Sea. The people from Azerbaijan are called Azerbaijanis and they have their own language and culture that is very different from other countries.

When these people come to America, they bring pieces of their culture with them. They might cook traditional foods like pilaf, dolma, and plov which are all very yummy foods. They might also celebrate holidays like Novruz, which is a new year celebration that happens on the first day of spring. These traditions are important to Azerbaijani Americans because it reminds them of their home country and where they come from.

Azerbaijani Americans also have their own community in the United States. They might live in neighborhoods or towns where many people speak their language, so they feel more comfortable and at home. They also have community centers and organizations where they can get together and do things like dance, listen to music, or just talk to one another.

It's important to be respectful and kind to Azerbaijani Americans, just like we should be with anyone from a different country or culture. By learning about different cultures and traditions, we can make new friends and learn new things about the world around us.
