For example, let's say you go to a bank to open a new account. The teller at the counter helps you fill out the application and gives you your new account number and card. But once you leave, there's a lot of work that needs to happen in the back office.

The back office staff will input your information into the bank's computer system, review your application to make sure everything is correct and complete, verify your identity, and set up your account to work with other systems like online banking, mobile apps or ATM machines. They also make sure that your money is safe and secure.

In addition, the back office staff may also handle tasks like paying bills, balancing the bank's books, ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and managing human resources tasks like payroll, benefits, and training.

So even though you may not see the back office staff in action, they play a vital role in keeping the business running smoothly and making sure that customers like you have a great experience. They are the unsung heroes making sure things get done!
