Baker v. Wade

Baker v. Wade was a court case that happened a long time ago. It was about a lady named Norma McCorvey who wanted to have a baby but she couldn't because she was pregnant and didn't want to keep the baby. She went to court to try to make it legal for all women to have an abortion, which means to end a pregnancy so the baby doesn't get born.

The court had to decide if it's legal for women to have an abortion or not. They looked at the law and the Constitution that's like a rulebook for how the country works. They talked to a lot of people who knew about having babies and what it means to be a mom.

In the end, the court said that it is legal for women to have an abortion for certain reasons. They said that women have a right to make their own choices about their bodies and whether or not they want to have a baby. This was a very important decision because it made it easier for women to decide what they want to do with their own bodies.
