Baklava

So, baklava is a yummy dessert made in many parts of the world. It's made up of layers of thin crispy dough that are stacked together with a sweet filling inside. This filling is usually made up of nuts, like walnuts or pistachios, and a sweet syrup or honey.

To make baklava, first a big stack of thin dough sheets are made. These sheets are so thin that you can see through them, kind of like paper! Then, layers of melted butter are brushed in between each sheet to make them crispy and flaky.

Next, chopped nuts, usually walnuts or pistachios, are spread on top of the dough. The nuts make the filling taste nutty and crunchy!

After that, more layers of the buttered dough are added on top of the nuts, then more nuts on top of that, and so on until the layers are all used up. It looks like a big stack of paper!

Finally, the baklava is baked in an oven until it turns golden brown and all the layers are crispy and flaky. At the end, a sweet syrup made with a mix of water, sugar, and honey is poured over the baked dessert to make it extra sweet and sticky.

And that's how baklava is made! It's crunchy, nutty and sweet, all at the same time!
