Balancing lake

Balancing a lake means making sure the lake has just the right amount of water in it. Too much water can cause flooding and too little water can make it harder for animals to live there. Balancing a lake starts with monitoring the water levels and testing the water quality. Then, if the lake has too much water, we can put a drain pipe in it to let water out into nearby rivers or other waterways. If there isn't enough water, then we can try to fill the lake up with water from nearby rivers or wells. We also may work to prevent pollution from entering the lake by planting trees around it or put trash cans nearby to prevent litter from going into it.
