Baligh

"Baligh" is an Arabic word which means reaching the stage of adulthood. This is when a person is considered mature and responsible in Islam, and able to do certain things that they couldn't do before.

For girls, this happens when they get their first period. It means they can now pray, fast, and get married.

For boys, it happens when they reach a certain age and can produce semen. This means they can now pray, fast, get married, and are responsible for their actions.

Think of it like getting a special grown-up power - you can now do things that you couldn't before, but it also comes with more expectations and responsibilities.
