A Balinese temple is a special building where people in the island of Bali in Indonesia can go to pray and worship. People believe that when they make offerings to the gods at a temple, the gods will bring good luck and fortune to them. There are many different types of temples in Bali, some built for weddings or funerals, and some built just for worship. Inside the temples, there are usually lots of statues, called 'pura', with special meanings. Everyone at the temple has to dress in special clothes and act very respectfully. People usually give offerings of fruit and flowers to the gods before they start praying.
