Banana boat (food)
Okay, so we are going to talk about something called a "banana boat" and it's a kind of food. Have you ever seen a banana before? It's a fruit that is yellow and comes in a peel. Well, the banana boat is kind of like a special dessert made with bananas.
To make a banana boat, we start by cutting a banana in half longways. Then, we put each half on a plate or a dish with the cut side facing up. Next, we put yummy things on top of the banana halves, like chocolate chips, marshmallows, and nuts.
Now, here is the fun part - we heat up the banana boats, but we don't put them in the oven like a cake or pizza. We use something called a "campfire" which is like a big fire outside where we like to sit and roast marshmallows. We put the banana boats close to the fire, but not too close that they burn. We wait for a few minutes until the toppings melt and become warm and gooey.
Finally, we take the banana boats off the fire and enjoy them with a fork and a spoon. They taste sweet and delicious like dessert, but it's kind of like eating a healthy fruit at the same time!
