Banat Bulgarians

Banat Bulgarians are a group of people who live in the Banat region, which is mostly in Romania, but also includes parts of Serbia and Hungary. They are called Banat Bulgarians because they are descendants of Bulgarians who moved to this region many years ago.

When people move to a new place, they often bring their own language and traditions with them. That's why Banat Bulgarians still speak a language called Banat Bulgarian, which is similar to Bulgarian but has some differences.

Banat Bulgarians have their own customs, such as celebrating holidays like Easter and Christmas in a special way. They also have traditional folk costumes that they wear at cultural festivals and events. These costumes are decorated with bright colors and intricate patterns.

Some Banat Bulgarians have moved away from the region over time, but many still live there today. They are proud of their heritage and work to preserve their language and traditions for future generations.
