Bangladesh Haor and Wetland Development Board

The Bangladesh Haor and Wetland Development Board is a group of people who work together to make sure that the wetlands in Bangladesh are taken care of. Wetlands are places that are always wet or have a lot of water around them, like ponds, swamps, and marshes. These places are very important because they help clean the air and water and provide homes for many different animals and plants.

The board helps to make sure that these wetlands are protected and not harmed by things like pollution or people building houses or roads in the wetlands. They also work to make sure that the people who live in and around the wetlands have what they need to live, like clean water and enough food. They try to find ways to use the wetlands to help the people, like fishing and farming.

The board has lots of people who work for them, like scientists who study the wetlands and make sure that they are healthy, engineers who build things to help protect the wetlands, and people who work with the communities to make sure everyone is happy and safe. They have meetings to talk about what needs to be done and how they can help the wetlands and the people who live near them.

In Bangladesh, the wetlands are called "haors" and are very important to the people who live there. They provide food, like fish and rice, and help the water stay clean. The Bangladesh Haor and Wetland Development Board works to make sure that these haors are protected for a long time so that the people who live there can keep using them to live and to help the environment.
