Banishment of Buddhist monks from Nepal
Okay kiddo, you know how some people have different religions and beliefs? Well, in Nepal, there are some people called Buddhist monks who practice their religion by living in temples, praying, and helping others.
But recently, the Nepalese government passed a new law that says all the monks who are not citizens of Nepal have to leave the country. This means that some of the monks who came to Nepal from other countries to practice their religion have to go back to their home countries.
The government did this because they want to make sure that only Nepalese people are in charge of the temples and religious places in the country. But some people think this is not fair to the monks who have been living and working in Nepal for many years.
Even though the monks have to leave Nepal, they will still be able to practice their religion and help others in other countries. It's just like when we have to move to a new house, we might feel sad at first but we can still be happy and make new friends in our new home.
