Bankers' bonuses

Okay kiddo, imagine you have saved some money in your piggy bank. You worked hard to save this money, right?

The bankers are like adults who also work hard to help people with their money. But instead of piggy banks, they have big banks where they keep other people's money safe. They also help people invest or borrow money.

Now, banks are businesses and they need to make a profit. This means they need to earn more money than they spend. When the bank does well, they make more money than they need. This extra money is called profit.

The people who work in the bank, including bankers, managers, and other staff members, get paid with some of this profit.

But the bankers who do a great job and work extra hard usually get an extra bonus. This bonus is like an extra reward for doing a really good job.

The banker's bonus is usually a very large amount of money, sometimes millions of dollars. This is because they are working with a lot of money and making a lot of profit for the bank.

However, sometimes people can get upset if they feel that the banker's bonus is too high. They may feel the bankers are getting paid too much money for their work.

So, while the bankers' bonuses can be a really nice reward for their hard work, it can also be a topic of debate among some people.
