Okay kiddo, let me explain the Bankothaler! You know how we use coins and paper money to buy things, right? Well, a long time ago, before we had coins and paper money, people used something called Bankothalers in certain countries in Europe to buy things.
Bankothalers were big, round coins made of silver. They were about as big as a grown-up's palm and had fancy designs on them. People would use these coins to buy things like food or clothes, just like we use money today.
The reason why they're called "Bankothalers" is because they were first made by a bank called the "Joachimsthaler Bank" in a town called Joachimsthal in what is now the Czech Republic. The bank used to stamp their name on these coins to show that they made them.
These coins were used for a very long time, but eventually, people started using paper money instead. Today, we don't really use Bankothalers anymore, but you can still see them in museums or in collections of antique coins.
